I always want to get my husband the BEST GIFT EVER but I have such a hard time coming up with gift ideas!! Anyone else feel like husbands/dads (honestly men) are the hardest people to buy for? They aren’t excited about clothes (at least my husband isn’t), I’m bored of buying him tools, and not sure what golf stuff he already has, am I right? Here is a list of some of my practical but unique gift ideas for your man. Some of them I’ve already purchased for my husband and some I have on my list to buy, either way, I hope they inspire your gift giving this year!
1. Ridge Wallet
I bought this for my husband last year and it is THE BEST. It is so slim! He can fit like 12 cards in it and you can’t even see it in his pocket. It has a little strap for cash. There are different colors and versions with clips and what not, but they’re all great. My main reason for loving it is because I usually end up carrying his wallet in MY purse. It’s much lighter and less bulkier in my purse, so really, Merry Christmas to me haha.
2. Lululemon Underwear
This may seem like a small gift, but it’s actually quite an investment. Nick is obsessed with his. Every time we go to Lululemon he gets another pair because they’re the only ones he wants to wear now (hence the investment). “They’re just so soft,” he claims. Rather than sticking to the boring underwear your husband gets every year, this is a VERY fun way to mix it up (fun for you too :)) My one warning – this could be bad for the budget. Once they get a taste of the luxury, they won’t go back.
3. AirPod Headphones
If you’re feeling boujee, this is the coolest gift. My husband recently purchased these and he’s obsessed. He uses them for work, travel, mowing the lawn. They have a noise cancelling option and the sound is just really high quality (he says). He also just looks really cute wearing them lol. So it’s a win all around.
4. Watch
I feel like watches are in now and they really just elevate an outfit. They’re a fun but practical accessory. I’m picturing an actual watch with a face, but you could totally go the Apple Watch route too. I feel like you can find budget friendly watches that are still nice, or you can drop lots of moneys on it, depending on your budget.
5. Long Sleeve T
This is the shirt your husband/dad/son didn’t know they needed. I know it’s clothes and we talked about clothes, but this is different! We had the hardest time finding a long sleeve T shirt for my husband, Nick, that was comfy but also cool. Nick is very particular about the feel his shirts, they MUST be soft. And this passes the Nick test so that’s pretty big. I also just love the look of it. The front and back are a little longer than the sides, you can dress it up or down. Lots of color options. We ordered a size up just for a more oversized look. For Christmas he’s for sure getting another color.
6. Bathrobe
Bathrobes are the most underrated gift for men. They are generally written off as a “girl gift”, but they totally aren’t! My husband would comment on my robe and how warm and comfy I looked (which I was). But he was not interested in one for himself. Until I think seeing me wear it literally every night softened him to the idea enough to say “maybe”. So I bought him one. And you guys. He’s OBSESSED. He loves it. He wears it in the evenings while he’s reading his book and it’s so cute. Also whenever he’s sick that’s his outfit haha. A little pampering gift for your husband, I really think he’ll love it.
7. Membership/subscription
To their favorite place/activity/magazine! Whatever activity they love to do, how fun would it be for them to be able to do it for “free” for a whole year!? The shooting range, a fancy gym, a magazine they love, meat, so many options! I like this idea, maybe I’ll do this this year.
8. Blue light Glasses
Are we not on our screens way too much? These are a practical gift – protect from blue light and all the benefits that come with that. But also a fun, unique gift! They can totally change up their look. It’s giving boujee, intelligent, interview ready. Which I’m very here for.
9. Flight
This is kind of crazy, but your husband can actually fly a plane. Like sit in the front seat and touch the wheel and all the buttons. I know right? I bought this for my husband (we still haven’t scheduled the flight lol) but he was so pumped about it. It’s a unique gift, but if you’re husband is into trying new things, taking risks, or flying, this could be the perfect gift for him! You can pick a plane with 2 seats for him and the pilot, or you can pick a 4 seater and you can join them! A little date night in the air.
10. Chain Necklace
Not like the gangster chains. Just a silver or gold chain that they can wear every day is so fun. We got one for Nick last year and he loves it. I like this gift because you can go budget friendly (to see if they’ll wear it) or more expensive! It’s a fun little accessory for their everyday outfits.
Okay that’s my list. I hope you’re inspired in what to get for your husband (or any men) in your life this year! Please comment below all your thoughts and gifts ideas for men, I’m here for them. Read more blog posts here!
