City Select 2 v. Mockingbird v. Uppababy Vista V2
Today we talk strollers. I obsessed over researching every baby product we bought, so I have lots of thoughts to share with you on stroller comparison 🙂
The 3 strollers we were deciding between were the CitySelect 2, Mockingbird, and Uppababy Vista V2. The main reason it was between these three is because they all can be converted into double AND triple stollers (with another seat + a glider board). So it was just a matter of deciding which one was best for us/what qualities we cared most about in a stroller. Here’s a little chart with some basic info on each stroller I’ve compiled for you.

These are just some basic specs for you to compare the 3 strollers, and proves they all 3 are really great options. HOWEVER, interacting with the strollers made the difference for us.
City Select 2
My sister has the City Select 2 and it took me and my husband, Nick, at least 5 minutes to figure out how to adjust the seat (while our nephew was having a meltdown in the seat). Nick is all about design and ease of use, so this was an immediate turn off for him. It does ride pretty smooth, but when compared with the other 2 stroller options, definitely inferior.
Mockingbird
I didn’t have a lot of interaction with the Mockingbird, but overall it’s a wanna be Uppababy. Not that it’s a bad thing, for a fraction of the price it’s tempting for sure! It’s visually similar to the Uppababy in style and design and does a lot of the same things the Uppababy can do! The materials used to make the Mockingbird are not as quality as the materials used for the Uppababy (real leather, durable aluminum alloy magnesium frame, etc etc) which will likely result in less durability and longevity. In my normal reasoning, I would have picked the Mockingbird (I love a good deal).
Uppababy
When we opened our Uppababy Vista V2, it took Nick less than 10 minutes to set it all up. Spoiler alert, the winner in our stroller comparison was the Uppababy. Nick was very pleased with the assembly process, which were BIG bonus points for the Uppababy. Pushing the stroller is honestly dreamy. The 4 wheel suspension contributes to the smooth ride, compared with the 2 wheel suspension of the CitySelect and Mockingbird. We use the bassinet that comes with the Uppababy ALL the time. It’s so nice because if Miles falls asleep in the bassinet we can just detach it from the stroller and bring him inside to keep snoozing. I also love the extra long sunshade that pulls down to protect Miles from our wild Michigan weather. I could go on. But I’ll just say we are very happy with our investment in the Uppababy stroller and plan to keep it for all of our babies.
A downside to the Uppababy is the price point. However, if you haven’t found the moms of Facebook marketplace yet, let me tell you! They buy pallets from Amazon with BRAND NEW baby products and sell them for LESS! We found a brand new-in-box Uppababy for $600 + some cupcakes 🙂
Final Thoughts
My recommendations for stroller shopping are to first decide what’s most important to you in a stroller. Then, test them all out (if possible) and see how they drive/fold/if they have the amenities you’re looking for. Finally, check out Facebook marketplace for all the deals! I would LOVE to hear your stroller comparison thoughts! Comment below what things you look for in a stroller/which stroller is your favorite!
